One of the first acts of deceiving we face in our lives is when our parents finally get us to eat something by telling us that the spoon is a plane flying to get to the airport that is our mouth, and through our life we will face this deceit over and over, by the government, the media or even our loved ones by disguising something unpleasant in a way that we can take it. The Tennessee psychedelic rock band takes this invisible plane analogy to show us how much we need to be aware of real intentions in between the lines in order to be less vulnerable to these tricks. With a retro production and a heavy bass line, they create a dense atmosphere to create a questioning PinkFloydesque mood, the instrumentation in on point and the hypnotic guitar with the circular structure of the song resemble the spiral in lies and deceit.. In a world in the verge of an Orwellian new order of fake news, this track is very pertinent to be reminded that the spoon is a spoon, no matter how much mr. Trump would like to call it an airplane.
